The basic principle in marketing is the idea of S.W.O.T. SWOT analysis is a strategic method used to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats involved in a project or in a business venture. Similarly, it is the same concept that provides success to the martial arts industry.

In a Karate business, SWOT helps eliminate the degree of mediocrity thus creating a unique level of business awareness. You see, with the use of such analysis a Karate business would be rated accordingly. Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats would be set aside and analyzed in an effort of knowing the opportunity of growth or bankruptcy. Early detection of issues can either make or break any budding project or business venture. For a karate business, this is something that should be avoided from the start.

Karate dojos sprout anywhere as easily does the mushroom. The competitor's number may grow overnight and the competition stiffer in a week. Different minds think differently. As a karate business owner, you must outsmart the rest. Realization of your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats are one thing, accepting them and using them as a weapon is another. Realization of key elements does not necessarily need to be revolving around the dojo and/or the facilities. A lot more factors may also be considered as well; for example, the technique employed in teaching karate.

Imagine yourself before a fight; do you not assess your opponent thoroughly before you strike? That's the same thing in a karate business. Use SWOT in examining everything first before engaging in a karate business. Success goes to those who are prepared.

The SWOT analysis is not only specific to Karate business marketing; it is also generally applicable in mixed martial arts school marketing.

Mixed martial arts school marketing, per say, gives you more choices and opportunities to apply the SWOT analysis. Let's try to apply SWOT analysis. After the identification of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats; basic questions are the ones asked first when trying out the waters. How can we capitalize on each strength? How can we improve each weakness? How can we exploit and benefit from each opportunity? How can we eliminate each threat? The answers to these questions are well within your reach.

However, the thing about marketing is it creates an expectation that should be met. Clients can only see the tangible results, like the flyers, but full comprehension will only happen once they've experienced the service. That is way martial arts management is of great importance as to the mixed martial arts school marketing. The former is the tail-end of the latter.

It would appear that mixed martial arts school marketing is only a preparation for the real show. The ultimate test of its success is not on the initial increase of the number of clients but on how many clients are willing to stay because they were satisfied with the service they have received. It goes that the bulk of the final decision comes from the clients and their decisions can only be swayed when their expectations were met through efficient martial arts management.
