What is the purpose of interview questions?

The purpose of interview questions to for the company to get a better idea of the person they are hiring in more depth than the resume you submitted. You must remember though, the more the interviewer wants to know about you, the tougher the questions will be, and the more prepared you have to be.

You have to remember that answers to tough interview questions are easy to think of. If you think of answers to tough interview questions as blockades in the interview then you will always find yourself stumped.

The toughest questions I find are the ones which you think you need a long time to answer, even the question "tell me about yourself" can be tough. Answers to tough interview questions require the contrary: answering quick and to the point. Failure to do that usually puts the wrong idea in the minds of the interviewer.

To prepare well is to think positively

In an interview, you not only have to make the interviewer happy with your answers to tough interview questions, but you must be satisfied as well. Giving pessimistic answers to tough interview questions will put you on the blacklist for sure. Wouldn't you like a worker who looks forward to the next day? Keep that in mind while you are preparing for answers to tough interview questions.

Don't be afraid

To ask for time during an interview. If you feel uncomfortable with any questions, ask politely for a moment or two to yourself, the interviewer is likely to understand. Remember that if you feel uncomfortable, the interviewer most likely does too.

Motivate yourself

To find answers to tough questions, because in all honesty, they really are not that tough. For example, I know many people who have trouble answering when asked about their strengths, and I know some of you are the same. It is important to remember to think outside the box; visualize what you are good at doing on a day to day basis and expand on it!

Things you must be careful to avoid

Going into an interview with a negative attitude is the number one foul in the game of job hunting. I have stressed this before, and I will stress it again; nobody will hire you if you seem a negative person! So relax, be positive, and remember that you are the only one who can find answers to tough interview questions about yourself.

Fumbling or stopping mid sentence will also greatly impede your success. The reason this usually happens is because of nervousness, which ultimately comes from a lack of preparation. You can't expect to answer tough questions without preparing for them beforehand. You have keep in mind to fill each answer with you skills and talents to show the employer that you are the one for the job!

Here's my advice to you...
