The 83rd Academy Awards that have just finished at Kodak Theater in Los Angeles some past hours witnessed a big winner, “The King’s Speech”, with four Oscars including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. The second giant is “The Social Network”, which claimed three awards for original score, film editing and adapted screenplay.


Besides, "Toy Story 3" becomes the best animated feature film and Denmark\'s "In a Better World" takes the prize for foreign language film.


This year, while Natalie Portman took home the Oscar’s Best Actress, Melissa Leo and Christian Bale in “The Fighter” surprisingly and proudly touched the Oscar gold when they won prizes for Best Supporting Actress and Actor respectively.

James Franco and Anne Hathaway, the first man and woman team hosted the Oscars


 



British actor Colin Firth won Best Actor prize for his role in \'\'The King\'s Speech”. He is among surprising winners at the top movie awards. Firth joked he had a feeling his career just peaked.




Natalie Portman is crowned Best Actress Academy Award for her role as a young ballerina who grows into womanhood in "Black Swan”. She burst into tears while cradling her gold statuette. She thanked her family, co-stars and director Darren Aronofsky. She felt she was in a dream.

When Hooper was named Best Director, he thanked his mom for being first to suggest he make "The King\'s Speech"
