Custom labels are becoming very popular these days for achieving that much needed effect on your homemade or small scale industry products. There are many factors that can lend a personalized touch to your products. However, it is very necessary that you should use the right adhesive for your respective products.

Among the various materials, where custom labels are adhered to are usually glass, plastic, metal, wax, paper, fabric, and wood. They may be anything from boxes, bottles to bags. Well, the adhesive you are planning to use depend a lot on all these factors. Use strong adhesives for glass or metal labels and anyone can replace them and mutilate them. On the other hand, you can reposition them even after a few hours if you think a particular type of custom labels is not fixed properly.

If you wish to add a personal touch on a product that already has a label for example in wine bottle, all you have to do is soak the bottle in soapy warm water and the labels come out. However, sometimes stubborn labels take time to get off, so you may require soaking them overnight, and then sticking your required custom labels. For stronger adhesive like petroleum based ones, you can hat the label with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive and gently scrub them off.

While sticking custom labels on paper, wood, or plastic, be very careful to position them properly, as it is almost impossible to remove them once you stick them in a particular spot. For those that are planning to stick the labels all on your own, it is necessary that for best results you should apply them at a clean, oil-free, room-temperature surface. This is because water or dirt may affect the sticking quality of the custom labels for example if you are adhere a label on a cold wine bottle, condensation would not allow your to stick the label properly. Also apply the labels atleast one week before they are to be used so that the adhesive bond becomes stronger as time passes. Applying custom labels in the right position is very necessary to get the right effect especially if you want to retain customers with your credibility.
