Many companies don't give much thought to rewarding employees and this is very simply because it is assumed that paying them for their work is enough. Most people are more impressed with an item that will serve as a reminder of their hard work well into the future and when they or other employees see this reward this will be a motivating factor for them to keep striving for their personal best.

Offering a variety of different rewards for employees in different categories will allow employees to even lower prices to achieve and get the recognition they deserve. Reward only those at the top level of the company is not a reasonable way to motivate all employees and rewards for the best new employee or the most improved can go a long way in allowing all employees across the board know that 'they matter.


Companies that use systems to find the awards that have improved employee retention and employees more motivated and productive. Awards may be used to promote a climate of team or to help an individual achieve more.
