As an article marketer, you have probably written (or outsourced the writing of) dozens of articles - if not hundreds. The question is: are you using these articles in other ways besides submitting them to article directories?
Article directories are a great start; don't get me wrong. And there are some truly stellar directories that can drive a flood of targeted traffic to your website.
However, there are other creative ways to re-use those same articles and attract even more visitors, subscribers and buyers. Here are just a couple of ideas that you may not have considered:
Articles can help energize your blog.
You probably know that you can post a full article on your blog, but you can also do much more than that. For example, if you have a lot of articles with a "how to" slant, why not take small sections of them and schedule each one as a "tip of the day" that is automatically posted on your blog?
You can also use different blogging platforms to make your articles work harder for you. If you already have a Wordpress blog, why not start a Blogger blog too? And vice versa.
Another idea: set up a series of compatible articles as a "tutorial" section on your blog and place a permanent link to it in the sidebar. In fact, you can do this with many different articles that relate to your niche. If your blog was about gardening, you could have tutorials on choosing the right plants for your climate zone; which plants are best for beginners, and so on. Within all of these article tutorials, you could include plenty of affiliate links to related products, or even plug your own product.
Use your articles as a publicity tool.
Some of your articles may be able to double as a press release with a little bit of rewriting. This is especially true for articles that relate to a new product or service, or even a different spin on an old topic.
However, make sure your press release does not read like a sales pitch. The purpose of a press release is to announce a new product, service, book, or anything else that is newsworthy. If you do this right, you may capture the attention of your local newspaper, national newspapers or magazines, or large authority websites in your niche. The result could be a flood of targeted, interested visitors to your website.
This is just a small sampling of creative ways you can re-use your articles online, but there are plenty more. Rather than simply churning out hundreds of articles in an attempt to capture more visitors, try making every one of your articles work harder for you by using and re-using it in dozens of creative ways.
