There are a lot of ways to express yourself as an individual, for example creating your own fashion and hair styling, would be to incorporate some form of body art, such as tattoos or body piercing onto your body. You can choose from many different types of tattoos and piercings. In this article we are going to learn the basics of the different types, so you can better choose best suit your individuality.
First, let us take a look at tattoos because in general, everyone has at the very least seen them, and also because they tend to be a little more acceptable in society than piercings. As we all know, tattoos have been around forever, and there are different styles and types of them. There are of course the better known and more popular permanent kind that are created by inserting ink into the layers of a persons skin that can include all kinds of styles from the classic black and white, to the newer and very colorful tattoos we see alot of today, and even to the very radical UV inked tattoos that can only be seen under a black light.
The other kind of tattooing that is quickly rising in popularity are temporary tattoos. These are especially popular with those that don't quite like the needles that are a part of the permanent tattooing process, or that aren't old enough to get a permanent one. There are the classic "sticker" type that is transferred to the skin using water, as well as airbrushed tattoos, and both are capable of staying visible for up to two to three weeks. Also the very popular Henna tattoos that hail from the Middle East and India can also last for a couple of weeks as well, allowing a person to be just as creative and show their individuality as those that choose to be permanently inked.
Now, on to the rather interesting topic of body piercings. It can be said that piercings are truly the best way to show your individuality simply because they are a bit more radical than tattoos, and not everyone that has a few "tats" is willing to get piercings. There are all kinds of piercings that you can get, in all kinds of places all over your body from the ears, mouth, nose and navel, to name the more popular ones, to what are known as surface piercings such as the neck, nape, and eyebrows that aren't quite as common. You can find that there are all kinds of places and styles of piercings you can get, so it is almost limited to only your imagination.
