Today I was meeting with two women, one the founder of a small sales company and the other her CEO. As I spoke of our solution, that they desperately needed, it was interesting the responses that I got from each of them. The founder, who was very passionate about the business but somewhat removed from the day-to-day activities, was extremely interested in implementing our solutions. She identified how it could help several of their employees and began to explain the effects it could have on their business.


On the other hand, the CEO asked how it was different from what they were currently doing. She continued to explain how they had tried this thing, and that thing and wanted to know how our solution was going to bring them the success they desired. It was almost comical that the founder and I simultaneously spoke up and pointed out what was missing in her game plan and how our solution really made the difference. The CEO quickly agreed and we moved forward to implement the identified plan of action.


In order to become successful each professional must really dive into their business and become engulfed into the specific details of their business. However in the act of diving into your specific business you must make sure you don't lose sight of the forest for the sake of the trees. Many times we can't see the actual problems because we are so close to them. Many times it can be helpful to get a different perspective on your business or more specifically the issues you may be having in your business. This outside perspective many times can be just the action needed to get you to the next level of business.


When developing your personal brand through article marketing and blog marketing it is important to get outside feedback. Your professional network is a good source of feedback for your personal brand. If your professional network is already involved in your industry they can make valid assessments of the direction you are taking and possible solutions for difficulties you may be having when developing your personal brand.
