The holidays are just around the corner. As we all know, the Yuletide season is one filled with merry-making, gift-giving, and celebrations. This means, more shopping, purchasing, and buying that may be equivalent to more sales, more income, and more profit for your business. Now the question remains: is your business ready for the Yuletide season? Is it ready to capitalize on people's frantic spending habits during the Season of Giving? Is your marketing plan or strategy ready for peak seasons like this one? You must evaluate if your marketing strategy is appropriate to use during the season, and if it is not, how much change should it take, and how much change will it actually take?

Think outside the box when marketing during the Yuletide season. The truth is, as everybody seems to be giving out promotions, and "best deals" it is quite difficult to get noticed during this chaotic season. One of the most effective strategies when it comes to promotions during the Holiday season is sending emails. And remember, you must not only send generic emails, but emails that are representative of the Holidays. This gives the promotional tool a more personal touch, while giving out the right information. Remember to highlight your promotions, the best deals, and make it appealing to your target market. Remember, not because it looks nice to you, it will automatically be nice for your target audience. Always think outwardly (what will the customers think?) instead of inwards.

Decide whether your target market would respond to more vivid colors and designs. Also decide how much graphics should the email have. Will the target market respond better to an email that is full of text, or will cute animations or graphics appeal to them more? Also remember that several companies will be doing the same thing, and will be using the same promotional tool (email) as you are, so remember to be innovative, and think of more ways to set your email apart from the others.
