Are you in a situation right now where you are facing an uncertain future? Ever toyed with the possibility of having your dream life, working from home in an internet money making business?
I was in this exact same position just over 18 months ago so I sat down and started to think seriously about my future. I knew what I didn't want! But like most people when asked the question - how do you really want your life to be and what are you prepared to do to get it, I struggled to come up with some answers.
Most of us don't allow ourselves the luxury of thinking of living a better life and we settle for mediocrity. But why, when really we can have anything we desire! Sounds like pipe dreams right? Sure, we all wish we could win lotto and have more money to pay the bills, take more holidays and live the life of Riley, but unless you get really lucky, that's not a reality.
I have sifted my way through a lot of material about successful entrepreneurs who work in an internet based home business and what it takes to become successful, how they think, how they operate, what do they do that's different and how they get to be so successful. In every case there seems to be one common demoninator - and it's not about the money!
You are probably thinking yeah right! It's okay for them to say that when they are sitting very comfortably in their beautiful homes with their beautiful children in private schools and holidays to the Caribbean twice a year! But seriously...ending up in life with a pile of money doesn't make for a complete life. Don't get me wrong - I love money as much as the next person but you know yourself deep down there's more to life than money and material possessions.
So I spent a bit of time "designing" my perfect life. When you start to think about your life seriously and how you only get one shot at it, you really want it to be the very best, right? So it does take a bit of work upfront - once you have "designed" your perfect life there are some steps that you need to take to make it happen.
Below are the 10 reasons why I chose to take the road less travelled to live a life on purpose and of my design.
wanted to work from home and make money from online business
wanted financial freedom and the ability to earn more by working less
wanted to veer away from 9-5 and have the flexibility of working the hours of my choice
wanted to spend time with my family who are scattered all over New Zealand
wanted to be able to help my extended family financially
didn't want to spend any more money on expensive working wardrobe
didn't want to commute and sit in traffic for hours
didn't want to get involved with office politics
didn't want to end my working life on a miserable pension
didn't want to go through life being fearful and look back with regrets
Over the next few of weeks I am writing a short article on each of these reasons. My intention is to provide some information that may help you to decide to make some changes, or at least encourage you to explore the possibilities and start thinking about having a life that YOU want. It is possible - it can happen - it's all up to you.
It takes courage, determination, hard work, a positive mindset and the willingness to be coached. But doesn't anything that's of any value in life require all of these? Think about a relationship for example - very similar?
