I remember back in 2003 when I finished reading "The Da Vinci Code," Adam and I had a great conversation about the book and our different interpretations of its meaning.
What I recall was how strongly I felt about the power of female energy. I said to Adam "Can you imagine what our world would be like now if our History were governed and led by women?"
Think about that for a moment . . .
We all have characteristics of both the male and female energy in us. Female energy is nurturing, the energy of Home, oneness, and the inner aspect of things. Male energy is outwardly focused and goal-oriented. Male energy creates individuality, competition and ego.
Now I am not an expert on this topic, but this is what I understand about what is happening to our Global Consciousness.
For centuries the male energy has dominated and has led us to where we are now: war, destruction, competition, high levels of individuality and separateness.
The shift that has been gradually taking form over the past couple of decades, and certainly more noticeably over the past couple of years, is that of a more female oriented energy. People are fed up and are rejecting the ways in which we have been living and are drawn towards a kinder, gentler, more feminine way of being.
The shift isn't only in us either; it's in the Planets and the Stars as well. These Astrological shifts support our desires for more cooperation, more energy of "Home", more compassion and nurturing.
It is my belief that what is happening with the Global Economy is a wake up call. We have been focused on the accumulation of material goods and acquiring as much "stuff" as we can. "He who dies with the most toys wins!" Not anymore. We are being called forth to focus on other values, like community, generosity and kindness to our neighbor and our selves.
Our evolution has allowed us to turn our focus away from the fight or flight response (we are no longer running for our lives from tigers). We are now able to turn inward to explore our humanness. This time calls for self- discovery and the discovery of our oneness with all.
OK. Stop me now, because I could go on for days on this topic! This is not even the tip of the iceberg. This merely scratches the surface. I feel so blessed to be alive during this phenomenal transformation of our world. We are in the midst of something beautiful and abundant taking place. The more we talk about it and build on the collective energy, the more powerful our influence on the global awareness.
